Koigu Wool Designs is based on the Landra family farm in Chatsworth, a few hours outside Toronto. Founded in the 1970s by Maie Landra, Koigu began with hand-spun, hand-dyed wool and grew with the help of her daughter Taiu. The name Koigu honors the family’s Estonian roots.

Today, Koigu is known worldwide for its signature Premium Merino and complementary yarns. Every skein is still hand-painted, finished, and shipped by the Landra women and a small local team—making each dyelot a true original.
